So, it's Monday. School is on and it's really the first day I've had of 'normal' since tax season's end. I worked at the town office for a few hours, came home to have some lunch and work cleaning a bit at the trailer. Looks like my brother and his wife are buying it so I'm working to get it cleaned. It's sad and comforting at the same time to be in the house where Gram lived. I cleaned her bedroom today, still smells of her Charlie perfume. Funny how I used to hate that smell but now it's 'home'. Grace got home and we played outside blowing bubbles, swinging and took a walk to G&G Joe's. Grace rode her new scooter Daddy got for her 6th day. She loves it. Funny kid. She has a rock she loves to climb on when we walk along the road. She asked to climb it today. When she got atop it she says 'Hello, friend, I missed you this winter. How ya doin'.....too funny.

Didn't get any scrapping done today, but tomorrow's another day. I'm hoping to finish up Spring of '06 this month. I want to start on some Christmas projects in a couple of months so that will put the regular scrapping behind again. I'll post some ideas I have for gifts some day soon but one thing I'm going to do are the altered Starbuck's Frappuchinno (sp?) bottles and cartons. I'm going to make an assortment of spiced/sugared nuts and fill the bottle with them and alter the outside along w/ the carton.

CKC Manchester is just around the corner. It's selfish of me to say this since I JUST had a 2 day scrapping get-away, but I CAN'T WAIT. I'm secretly hoping Mike will repair the ceiling of our bedroom while I'm gone. It was damaged this winter when a large ice damn on the roof started to melt. I'm also 'dreaming' about him FINALLY putting the ceramic tile on the laundry room floor so I can get the walls painted. Hey, a girl can dream can't she? :)

Time Flies

Ok, so I start this crazy blog almost a month ago and here it sits...empty. Life has a way of happening when we don't know it huh? It's been busy around here.

Tax season ended. The 'crazies' were out in full force at the very end of the season.

April vacation found Grace and me participating in a Kid's Craft Day on Monday, shopping with Grammie Wally on Tuesday, having lunch w/ the Lueders & Conants on Wednesday and then having a great time at a scrapbook class at Memory Lane in Auburn. Grace had a great time putting together a small album. Thursday we stayed home all day playing, relaxing and me packing up for a week-end long scrapping affair.

For my 40th (SHOCK!!) bday, Mike gave me a scrapping week-end away w/ my sisters, in-law's & KB. We went to a 'camp' (5 bedrooms, bull basement & hot tub) on Friday morning, scrapped from 10-midnight and again on Saturday from 9 am-midnight. Left on Sunday morning having done 19 scrapbook pages and feeling really rested.

This week has been full of appointments and dance recital. Grace did a great job and loved every minute of it. She was very grumpy most of yesterday and today, except when she was dancing. She also turned 6 today!! How does that happen? I swear I was looking the whole time, she can't possibly be almost in the first grade.

Now, the count down is on. Tball starts tomorrow, which for me is the signal of the end of the school year and summer vacation is just around the bend. Grace's church group is winding down in the next couple of weeks and CKC Manchester is happening in 2 weeks. Soon we'll be hooking up the camping and heading down the road.

Here's to a quick next few weeks and summer vacation filled with sleeping late, swim lessons, VBS, library visits and "Mom, I'm bored."
